Breathing Space

Breathing Space is an interactive installation designed to help people visualise the severity of air pollution in London.

The installation combines interactive digital technologies and immersive lighting design with real time data from the King’s College London Air data source to explore the effects of air pollution in the city.

Breathing Space was designed by Hassell and engineered by Arup for London Design Festival 2017.

Ishiki Lab provided the lighting and interaction designed and developed the code to relate the air pollution data to lighting colours and transitions.
